Delete your account

On this page
You can delete your Friendli account at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed.
From the app
This is the fastest route and it works immediately:
- Open Friendli and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Settings, then Privacy.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@friendli.in from a device you can reach, including the phone number registered to the account. We will verify the request belongs to you before acting on it — this protects you from someone else deleting your account. Requests are completed within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, username, date of birth, gender, languages and interests.
- Your profile photo and any images you uploaded.
- Your messages and chat history.
- Your identity verification documents, if you applied to be a creator.
- Your PAN, if one was on file.
- Your saved payout methods.
- Your location data and push notification token.
What is kept, and why
Two categories survive deletion, both because Indian law requires it rather than because we want them:
- Financial records — a record of coin purchases, creator earnings and payouts, retained for the statutory period for tax and audit. These are retained as transaction records, not as a usable profile.
- Safety enforcement records — if an account was banned for a serious safety violation, we retain enough to prevent the same person simply signing up again.
Unspent coins
Deleting your account forfeits any unspent coins. They cannot be refunded or transferred, so spend them first if you want to. Creators should withdraw pending earnings before deleting — see Refunds & Cancellations.
Can I undo it?
No. Deletion is permanent and your username becomes available to others. If you rejoin later you start fresh, with a new account.
